After a harsh winter and a late spring, we are starting to feel the warmth of the sun. In recent months, it is clear that the

number of members of the Association has decreased again and consequently, participation in various activities. Also, as our financial statements show, expenses far exceed revenues. In this context, the future of our Association is very uncertain and the Board of Directors must consider the options available for the future. Efforts are being made to maintain the vitality and viability of the Association but, inevitably, unless a solution is found, we will unfortunately have to consider its closure in the near future. Perhaps this is the time to conclude that the main mission of the Association is now fulfilled?

Again this year, we were few in number at the General Assembly (seven members present) despite a delicious meal and a visit to Robert Lepage's Diamant, a very interesting visit. Also, we had to re-elect three of our directors: Nicole, Sonia and I accepted a new two-year mandate which will be crucial for the Association.

Your comments and reflections on the situation are essential to guide the Board of Directors in making the right decisions.

In the meantime, the Association remains active and we plan to have a picnic again at Robitaille Park, possibly in July, and we hope to see you there in large numbers. It is always a great pleasure to meet and exchange with you!

Marc Robitaille, President
